ABOUT KEN NAKANISHI.
I started Hikari Photography back in 2004. After finished university, I went back to Hong Kong to work in entertainment production for 3 years. Upon my return to Melbourne, I started Hikari Photography.
It was a steep learning curve, from working for someone to working for myself. Turning my hobby into a business. Learning all about marketing and taking any photography jobs out there. From doing Santa photos to weddings to nightclub photos… I did it all!
I have been extremely lucky and built a large base of loyal clientele. I am able to, over the years, work on projects and styles of photography that I enjoy.
I like to take my time, to look for the light, the shadow, the symmetry, the juxtapose in imagery.
In recent years, I have mainly focus on interior styling, event styling, and architecture. I also shoot behind the scenes and stylised photoshoot for products.
ABOUT HIKARI SCHOOL & EVENTS.
We have been in the school events and commercial photography business for a number of years and in 2016 we branched out into school photography branch.
We work with a handful of local schools to ensure we deliver a personal service with efficiency. Our aim is to help you cover all your photography needs, from school photos, to school events such as formals and graudations, to school promotion and commercials.
